KMF Metals is proud to announce that the American Indian Museum at the Smithsonian in Washington DC is now open. KMF's work on the 20 foot diameter ring that is an intregral part of the glass skylight in the 175 foot rotunda can now be viewed by the general public. This ring is composed of 15 foot long segments, bolted together and composed of 8 inch squre, 3/4 inch wall stainless steel tubing. KMF Metals polished this tubing from a mill finish to a #4 architectural finish. KMF Metals was awarded this job because of our proprietary processes and machines that allow us to quickly and efficiently produce quality results. This saves money for the customer. One of our specialties is the polishing of large beams, tubes and plates of any weight and size up to 10,000 pounds.
